How can you prevent fake reviews? Some of the well-known review software companies like Google, Yelp, and Tripadvisor can’t. I recently had a client that had a 5-star rating on every social media platform after being in business for over 15 years. And being in the jewelry business with a retail front, a 5-star rating is hard to come by. I mean, let’s face it. You can’t make everyone happy. But that’s just it. They take such pride in their business that they really did have a 100% customer satisfaction rating. That was until Abraham Lincoln visited their shop.
Abraham Lincoln Gave a Fake Review
Yes, my poor client got a 1-star rating from our previous president that has been dead for over 150 years. And that 1-star rating knocked them off the top 10 search results for many of their keywords. This can seriously damage a business as potential customers cannot find them as easily.
We tried calling and emailing to get the fake review removed but the company refused.
